The films for Hennessy

Six finished films for Hennessy, thirty seconds each, with the frames that built them. The newest three speak to the drinker in their twenties: one drink, made properly.

The Quiet and the Loud

Hennessy's day and Hennessy's night, cut as one film. A blender walks the dawn vines and calls the year ready; across the world the night answers, glass for glass, gesture for gesture. The amber is the only thing alive in both.

The Angels' Share

Every year, part of Hennessy's sleeping reserve disappears into the air, and no lock has ever stopped it. The film tells the robbery straight: the locks, the night watch, the vanishing, and the getaway on the dawn wind over Cognac. What the angels take makes what remains deeper.

The Window

Hennessy's whole world in one leaded window: the vines, the river, the cooper's fire, the sleeping casks, the lifted glass. The sun crosses it through one day and tells the story pane by pane, until dusk pours the last pane's light into a real glass on the sill. Wordless, carried by the day's own sound.

DUSK · every pane flooded with amber

THE LAST FRAME · the mark in leaded glass

The One

One drink, built properly, cut to its own sounds. A host makes the night's single Hennessy highball: ice cracked, honey ribboned, one measured pour, the soda's hiss, and the handoff to her best friend at the door.

The Rare Pour

A nature documentary about a new species: the young adult who drinks less than anyone before them. Observed on a rooftop at dusk until the Hennessy comes out, one careful pour each, and the toast proves the point. Rarer, and richer.

Fresh Paint

A muralist paints the block party's invitation from dusk into night: vines and a river of amber on an oxblood wall. When the string lights snap on the neighbors are already there, and the first pour lands under fresh paint.

The posters

Five stills for Hennessy, each its own idea with its own line, set in one engraved voice. They run as posters, out of home and in print, beside the films.

THE CELLAR · The angels drink first.
A tasting glass lit warm on a zinc bar
THE GLASS · Grown in silence. Opened loud.

THE POUR · Made for More.
An engraving of the Charente valley with the river in gold leaf
THE ENGRAVING · The river runs amber.

The reserve, by hand

Hennessy blends from the largest reserve of aged eaux-de-vie in the world. Drag along the years, or use the arrow keys, and watch the glass deepen.

X.O · created by Maurice Hennessy in 1870, the original of its class: dark amber, long, built from slow decades.

The ways in

One campaign

The three films and the poster set, finished and delivered on one link that never changes.

The season

A rolling ninety days: the campaign above, then cutdowns, new posters and new rooms as the season asks.

Every month

Hennessy's own standing room: films, stills and answers on a monthly rhythm.

Each one is scoped with you, case by case.

Week oneThe films finish and the posters proof.
Week twoYour notes land; the cut answers inside days.
Month twoCutdowns and new rooms for retail and social.
Month threeThe season's second wave, planned from what ran.

Work that ran

Hennessy would join campaigns RitualAds has already made and shipped. Three of them, with the film that ran.

Pizza Hut

PITCH FILM · CUT 1 · :15

IN · Agency jnr. and production company Clockwork had to win one of Australia's boldest campaign pitches: how do you win a pitch for setting people on fire, before a single frame is shot?

OUT · The pitch script previsualized from script to screen before production began, selling the tone rather than the description.

THE RESULT · The pitch won in the room: the Creative Engine gave jnr. and Clockwork the confidence to pitch at full strength and the client the confidence to say yes.

Temple & Webster

THE BRAND FILM · :30

IN · Australia's largest online furniture retailer imagined its first cinematic brand campaign as magical realism: a woman steps through a door in her living room wall and the world begins to answer her.

OUT · Every room, move and transition mapped before cameras rolled; the actress's real performance stayed untouched while the Temple & Webster world grew around her, furnished entirely from the brand's catalog of over 200,000 products.

THE RESULT · The brand's first cinematic brand campaign launched nationally in July 2026 across broadcast, CTV and digital, in 30 and 15 second cuts.

Martha Stewart

THE COMMERCIAL · :30

IN · A national campaign to launch her new skin care product on Shopify, turning five years of clinical research into a luxury story, without a single practical set.

OUT · The commercial, with not a single practical set used in production; midway through post-production she asked for a higher-resolution output for the largest screen in Times Square.

THE RESULT · A Times Square debut on the largest screen, seen by 1.5 million people daily, and three major publications.
